My research
I am currently working on two projects (which I have already worked on for about 2 years) of bioinformatics at UF Health Cancer Center: (1). Inflammation related to aging (Inflammaging) and expression of inflammaging markers in different tissues of drosophila; (2). Genomic response of drosophila to hyperplastic and neoplastic tumors.

My responsibility is to analyze Bulk-RNAseq and scRNAseq data to study the inflammaging markers on a transcriptomic level as well as the roles they potentially play in hyperplasia and neoplasia.
Comparing hemocyte gene expression in response to hyperplastic vs neoplastic tumors. Hyperplastic tumors were induced by overexpression of RasV12. Neoplastic tumors were induced by knocking down scrib (scribKD). Hemocytes were extracted and subject to RNA-Seq analysis. The genes with names are involved in adhesive interaction with the extracellular matrix.
